Services

I am a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Counsellor and am able to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Person Centred counselling and interventions. I have experience of working with issues around trauma, anxiety, stress, sadness, major life changes, relational issues, neglect, abuse, a sense of feeling numb/out of touch with emotions.

Services

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is a talking therapy that concentrates on how you understand yourself, the world and others. Helping you to make sense of how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected, and how these can keep you in a negative cycle at times. CBT can help you understand your thoughts (cognitive) and subsequent actions (behaviours) with a view to making a positive change.

Psychodynamic therapy/counselling

A psychodynamic approach holds that our awareness of our former experiences, our past, can help us to make sense of our present, the way we are, our behaviours and our thinking. Understanding the past can help us to work with it's influence on our present.

Person Centre/Humanistic therapy/counselling

This therapy seeks to see the client and therapist working together to see the world through the client's eyes, to gain a deeper understanding of how the client is feeling. In a safe space we can work together to find what you want from life and how to set the conditions to achieve this.
